Frascold Compressors
Frascold designs and manufactures a modern and complete range of reciprocating compressors, semi-hermetic and open, to be used with all HFC, HCFC, HFO, CO2, HC, NH3 refrigerants in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
The considerable experience collected during the years allows us to provide next generation products, in line with the latest market requests.
Additional equipment and devices are available to satisfy the peculiar requirements of applications all over the world, always focusing on energy saving and respect for the environment.

For standard refrigerants
Wide range of models with 2, 4, 6 or 8 cylinders, displacement from 4 to 239 m3/h [50Hz] and nominal power from 0.5 to 80 HP.
The compressors can be used with all standard refrigerants like HFC, HCFC based refrigerants and new HFO low-GWP refrigerants, for a wide range of applications, single and multi-compressor and cascade systems. All models can operate with VFD.
The main features are high efficiency, robust construction, low noise levels and small dimensions. The applied protection systems are state of the art. Finally, a long list of accessories further enhances their versatility.
The range includes also: ECOinside compressors streamlined for use with R134a and R1234ze refrigerants, ATEX Compressors, VS compressosr with integrated inverter, Two-stage compressors, Twin compressors.
The performance of the majority of models is ASERCOM certified.
Standard and ECOinside series

Two-stage series
The range of compressors with double compression stage is optimized for low-temperature applications and deep freezing.
All the models provide for a system of subcooling of the liquid which allows to increase the cooling capacity and efficiency of the entire plant.
The mechanical dimensioning of all the components has been optimized specifically for the particular characteristics of the low-temperature applications, making these extraordinarily reliable compressors.
VS series, with integrated inverter
In this range of compressors, the integrated frequency inverter enables continuous adjustment of capacity; this allows to minimize the variations of the suction pressure and avoids continuous switching-on and off of the compressor, obtaining important savings on energy costs, a greater thermal stability of the system and a significant lowering of the noise level.
The inverter is factory pre-programmed, it is operated by an external PID controller or via direct connection of a pressure transducer to be mounted on the suction line.
The adjustment of all parameters that control the inverter can be customized to suit the specific application.
ATEX compressors
A wide range of compressors is available with construction and security features according to the requirements expressed by the European Directive ATEX 2014/34/EU (group 2).
These compressors can operate in classified zone potentially explosive (Zone 2) due to the presence of flammable gases.
H2Y series for R410a
Series H2Y compressors are built with a special structure and components specifically designed to operate safely at the high operating pressures of R410A refrigerant.

Open type
Open type ATS series
Built with only three blocks of moving parts, this twin screw compressor reaches high levels of reliability and efficiency.
Much appreciated in application such as industrial refrigeration and air conditioning thanks to its balanced operation and low noise levels both at full and part load.
The perfect execution of the mechanical shaft sealer, makes it suitable for all refrigerants.
The compressor can be operated with standard commercially available electric motors and connected with direct coupling joints.
For natural refrigerants
Wide range of models with 2, 4, 6 or 8 cylinders, displacement from 4 to 239 m3/h [50Hz] and nominal power from 0.5 to 80 HP.
The compressors can be used with Natural refrigerants like Hydrocarbons (R600a, R290, R1270), Ammonia (NH3) and CO2 (R744), for a wide range of applications, single and multi-compressor and cascade systems. All models can operate with VFD.

For Hydrocarbons - ATEX Compressors
Through the use of advanced technologies and by means of relevant engineering capabilities of our technical team, we offer a highly reliable line of compressors designed according to Directive ATEX 2014/34/UE, suitable for using of Group IIB hydrocarbon refrigerants.
These compressors are the best choice for those who want to build plants and machinery which also contain an environmentally friendly solution.

For Ammonia (NH3) - Open type
In the industrial process refrigeration systems operating with ammonia, in particular those for the production and food processing, but even in marine sector, strong and efficient compressors are required.
Our range of compressors for NH3, driven by the electric motor by means of joints for direct transmission or by belts and pulleys, perfectly meets those needs, thanks to robustness, compact overall dimensions and high efficiency.
The range includes three models with 6-cylinder and displacement from 146 to 188 m3/h (50Hz) and a wide selection of accessories that multiplies the versatility.
For CO2 - Subcritical SK series
The range of compressors for subcritical CO2 applications, has been developed taking into account the most recent requirements from the refrigeration technologies and by manufacturers of refrigerating applications for supermarkets.
The compressors are ideal for use with hybrid systems (ie. cascade system) and, in combination with the compressors Frascold TK series for transcritical CO2 applications, they offer the possibility to built-up multi-compressor installations for medium and low temperature (booster systems).
The parameters considered during designing phase, allow the use of SK models in an extended working range with higher evaporation temperatures and condensation. Similarly, also the maximum permissible stand still pressure Pss is higher, allowing the use of these compressors even when the increase of pressure represents a limitation for building the plant itself.
SK series for subcritical application

For CO2 - Transcritical TK series
The TK series compressors for transcritical CO2 applications, has been developed keeping in mind the latest requirements from the refrigeration and heating technology.
Specifically, the TK compressors are designed for application with CO2 transcritical process, such as heat pumps and refrigeration systems in medium temperature, as well as cascade and booster systems in which the TK compressor, in combination with an SK compressor for CO2 application with subcritical process, allow the construction of multi-compressor systems for medium and low temperature.
